Senior Ben Maag advanced to the districts in Male individual bowling.

Billing, a 5-foot-8 junior forward, had 20 points and seven rebounds and was 8 of 11 from the field in a victory over New Albany, and 13 points and eight rebounds in a win over Gahanna.
Nate Meyer, the son of Ohio State Buckeyes head football coach Urban Meyer, announced via Twitter Monday night that he’s committed to play baseball at the University of Cincinnati.
The Little Eagles Wrestling Club had a special guest on 1/22/17 Olympic and World Champion Kyle Snyder, who also wrestles for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Duke Baseball Recruit Spotlight: Matt Dockman
Senior Matt Adams was named second team all state in soccer and Senior Emily Ganz was named first team all state in soccer.
Emily and girls soccer coach Gene DeWeese along with Matt and boys soccer coach Ed Mikula attended the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association banquet on 1/7/17, where they received his plaques.
Bunstine Attends National Development Camp - Junior Mary Kate Bunstine got her Christmas break off to a slick start, attending a USA Women's Sled Hockey Development Team camp in New Jersey. At camp, Mary Kate scored the only goal in a full team shootout, winning the hat she's wearing in the photo on the left. Mary Kate earned a spot on the team at tryouts last summer.

The boys swim team broke the school record in the 400 relay with a time of 3:25.17.
Dispatch Ice Hockey Athlete of the Week 1/9-15/17 - Adam Fallon
Fallon, a sophomore forward, had 10 goals and 10 assists in helping the Eagles win three of four games and place third in the Centerville MLK Showcase.
Dispatch Ice Hockey Athlete of the Week 12/5-11/17 - Kyle Naderhoff
Naderhoff, a junior defenseman, scored five goals to help the Eagles win the Benedictine Christmas Tournament in Cleveland. Naderhoff scored a goal in a tie against Parma, a hattrick in a win over Bay and a goal with an assist in a win over Avon Lake in the final.

The Ohio High School Athletic Association has announced that Bishop Watterson High School is one of four schools statewide to receive the Harold A. Meyer Sportsmanship Award for the 2015-16 academic year.
The OHSAA has a three-tiered system of recognition for sportsmanship, ethics and integrity awards. Sixteen schools overall were selected with 11 named Respect the Game Challenge recipients, which is the first level. Four, including Bishop Watterson, received the Harold A. Meyer Award and Respect the Game Challenge. Saint Ursula Academy in Cincinnati was the only school recognized with both of those awards in addition to the Commissioner's Award.
"We are very proud of these 16 schools for making sportsmanship a priority," said Dave Gray, OHSAA Interim Commissioner. "We have so many schools in Ohio that show great sportsmanship, so we hope that more schools finish completing the program in the future."

Grace Hetterscheidt, Girls Volleyball
Hetterscheidt, a senior and four-year starter, totaled 21 kills, five digs, one ace and one assisted block in a 28-30, 25-13, 25-20, 25-19 victory over Grove City in a Division 1 sectional championship match.

Mary Schons, Field Hockey.
Schons, a senior attack, scored the lone goal in a 1-0 win over defending state champion Thomas Worthington. She also scored in a 1-0 shut-out of Cincinnati Ursuline Academy.

The Girls Golf Team Took First Place at Sectionals on 10/5/16
Boys golf finished 5th at sectionals. Drew McQuade qualified for districts with a 78.
The 2016 girls and boys cross country teams each finished second at the Newark Catholic Invitational.Fastest Eagles were Sam Mikula and Nick Kurly.
